PSA Mission Statement
The PSA is an additional channel of communication between the school and parents. We support ‘embedding excellence’ by developing effective communication and relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment to support the school. Our Charter can be viewed here.
How the PSA Works
Every parent has access to the PSA for the duration that their child is a student at COLA Shoreditch Park. You are welcome to share your thoughts, concerns and solutions on how we can work together to facilitate the best possible educational experience for our children at COLA Shoreditch Park.
Your level of involvement is entirely up to you but the more parents that get involved, the more we can do. Some parents join the PSA committee and attend planning meetings in addition to supporting or delivering PSA activities. Others get involved on an ‘as and when’ basis, whenever they have time or as a particular topic arises – every little helps.
Opportunities to get involved
We are looking for parents to help us with the following:
- Used uniform sales – taking responsibility for setting up a stall (two hours, once or twice a term) to sell used uniform.
- Fundraising activities – organising events and identifying opportunities to raise money that we can use to improve resources and facilities at COLA Shoreditch Park.
- Lecture series/talks – organising learning opportunities through lectures/talks for pupils and/or parents about issues likely to affect family life.
- Lesson taster events – Liaison with teachers to set up short lesson sessions for parents.
