All students must wear the full school uniform and present themselves in a professional manner. This includes on their way to, at, and on the way home from the academy. It is a symbol by which students are recognised within the community, and it fosters a sense of pride for and respect of the learning environment. Students must not bring their own clothes to change into after school without specific permission from the Principal. These items will be confiscated if brought in without permission.
The Academy has a limited amount of second-hand uniforms. Please speak to student services for further details. Please help us reduce waste and make uniform more affordable by donating any uniform your child no longer needs. You can bring donations to the reception at any point.
From September 2026, the following branded items will remain compulsory for students at Shoreditch Park and can still be purchased from Trutex, our uniform provider:
- Academy blazer
- Academy PE top
- Academy rucksack
- Academy tie (if applicable).

We ask you to ensure that your child is professionally dressed for school at all times. Items must not have commercial branding such as Nike or Adidas. Non-branded items can be purchased at suppliers such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys, M&S or Matalan. If your child has a previously compulsory branded school item (such as an academy coat, hat, jumper or PE kit) they can of course still wear these to school, and all items can still be purchased from Trutex.
Jewellery, hair, make-up and accessories
No watches are to be worn except plain watches (no Smartwatches or fitness trackers). No jewellery is allowed other than plain metal studs. One small, plain metal (silver or gold), discreet stud in each ear. Hair must be tied back for PE, DT and science and worn in a style appropriate to a business environment, without shaved lines. Extreme hairstyles & colours that undermine the ethos or discipline of the academy will not be permitted, including slits in the eyebrows. Only transparent or black/brown hair bands and beads are permitted. No make up of any kind is permitted, students wearing makeup and nail polish will be asked to remove them. Squishes are not permitted as they can be dangerous if they burst. Fidget tools will be distributed by the SENDCO when necessary and are not permitted otherwise . Acceptability judgements can only be made by staff at the academy. Keychains on bags and (inoffensive) pin badges on blazers are permitted.
Incorrect uniform undermines the ethos and discipline of the academy and does not align with a sense of community or belonging. Judgements on acceptability can only be made by staff at the academy. Students with inappropriate uniform, hair or make-up will be temporarily withdrawn from lessons or sent home to change.

Students should attend school in the school Academy PE kit on the days that they have PE, including for additional studies.
