Additional Studies is a weekly opportunity for all KS3 students to develop their talents and interests in a mandatory enrichment hour that takes place on Tuesdays between 3.25pm and 4.30pm.
This enrichment is 100% choice based for students and all sessions are based on the City Experience model offering creative, sporting and linguistic opportunities that are outside of our usual curriculum offer.
Students in KS3 choose two different additional studies sessions per year, one for rotation 1 and one for rotation 2.
In year 8 and 9, students can choose to repeat one session but must choose a different second session. This supports both the development of talents and interests as well as ensuring their enrichment experiences are still broad and balanced.
Students choose a first choice and a backup, similar to the options process.
